Come and join this workshop with me while we explore the incredible Santiaguito volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in Latin America.
To see, hear and even smell an eruption is hard to describe because there are no words for that feeling while you see the power of the creation. Be prepared to be amazed by the views of Santiaguito volcano from our viewpoint close to our camp in Santa María volcano.
Go back home with amazing photos of the Caliente Domo (the active crater of Santiaguito volcano).
WHAT TO BRING?
A DSLR camera with a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens
Enough batteries and memory cards (we are going to spend 2 nights in Acatenango volcano without electrical supply)
A sturdy tripod, it gets windy up there
An intervalometer (it doesn´t have to cost you a fortune, a cheap one programmable will works great)
A headlamp is a must, better if it has a red light

Dehydrated food is the better option to cook in the volcanoes
Hiking clothes for the mountain, we are going to be around 13,000 feet
Warm clothes for the night, it gets very cold at night. Sometimes 0, sometimes below 0 celsius, but during the day it gets very hot, so bring some shorts too
Gloves

Cup, spoon, and fork
Dehydrated meals for the camping days
